Producing Methods

An intensely-flavored, big, dark ale with a wide range of flavors. Roasty-burnt malt with deep dark or dried fruit flavors, and a warming, bittersweet finish. The intense flavors, meld together to create a complex, harmonious beer.

Tasting Notes

Rich, deep, complex and quite intense, with variable amounts of roasted malt/grains, maltiness, fruity  esters, hop bitterness and flavor, and alcohol. High roasted malt flavors make bittersweet strong coffee notes. Fruity esters is low, but make aroma such as dark fruit character (raisins, plums, or prunes). Malt backbone is rich and barleywine-like.. The balance and intensity of flavors can be affected by aging, with some flavors becoming more subdued over time and some aged, vinous qualities.
